Retreats are a chance for the students to grow closer to God and to each other. This is a list of some of the retreats going on this coming year. To find out more, attend worship and pay attention to the announcements.

Howdy Retreat

Location: Messiah's Ranch | September 18-19, 2009

This is a retreat for new Wesleyites to help them get to know one another, and to meet some old hands as well. This retreat will be held at Messiah's Ranch Retreat Center (about 20 minutes from College Station), and is a great opportunity for everyone to relax after their first week of classes. Activities will include worship, small group discussions, and of course lots of free time for fellowship. The retreat is a small time commitment, as we play togehter only one night. This allows for plenty of time to worry about your homework when we get back. We will leave on Friday afternoon and be back Saturday in time for the tailgate party and the game (WHOOP!). Be sure to give us your sports pass by Monday at noon to ensure standing next to all of your new Wesley friends for the game.

Spiritual Life Retreat (SLR)

October 16-18, 2009

SLR is a retreat for all students from our Wesley Foundation. This retreat gives a good break during the semester to allow students to unwind and connect to God again. An outside speaker is brought in to present the weekend's message. Lasting from Friday afternoon until Sunday afternoon, SLR includes several worship services, small group time, and free time on Saturday afternoon. Don't worry if you have homework, this retreat has lots of free time at night and on Saturday afternoon that can be used for studying!

All Campus Retreat

Lakeview | February 2010

This is a great opportunity to get to know people from the other Wesley Foundations in the Texas Conference. This retreat is held at the conference retreat center of Lakeview. An outside speaker is brought in to deliver the message during worship services. Saturday afternoon also includes several seminars, covering topics specific to college students. We also vote on conference representatives, so it is very important that as many people show up to make sure our Wesley Foundation has quality representation. There will be time for socializing, games and studying.

What to bring on most any retreat:

• Bible
• Sleeping bag and pillow
• Toiletries
• Fun games to play at night and during free time
• Camera for all those kodak moments
• Money for food on the way to and from the retreat
• Money for the cost of the retreat (VERY IMPORTANT!)
• Insurance information (make sure you have filled out a medical release form!! Otherwise, you won't be allowed to go.)
